Top GRAF Stylez!!!

Phryman, Syco and Kiat took to the cans in the last Home Parties +65 to showcase some amazing pieces of art. Their pieces were works of independent art created freestyle outside the venue. The process was something that all could enjoy and the final product was completed within a couple of hours. Here are the photos my friend. Come down to the club to see these pieces on display outside.

Kiat's 'Jia' A Homage to HOME:

Phryman's destroy dude:

And my personal favourite SYCO:

The Final Three:

So, Which one is your favourite? Let me know and we might display it on one of our white banners inside!

Your thoughts.

Since this is a forum for discussion I thought I might open up the floor. Home has now been open for a couple of weeks and I'd like to ask the public what are their thoughts of the space and sound since the renovation? It is not completely finished and there are still things to be modified and implemented but how do you feel with the essence of its new clothes? I look forward to your responses.

In the meantime I will add my own personal opinions to start the ball rolling.

-Speakers are f£%*ing nuts, that bass is mind bending.

-Outdoor bar rocks, pity we have to close it at the later part of the evening.

-Walls are a bit bare at the moment. (Although I do know that is one of the areas being worked on right now.)

Be well. :)

Our First Beat! Since The Renovation!

Friday the 13th saw Beat return to the controls for the first time since the renovation. A new enlarged space returned with the amplified spirit we remember from the old days of our ever enthralling and successful Beat! Here is a little visual documentation of what happened that night.

This is what we call a full house:

Joe behind the controls:

Walao we've got a new bar!

Some teeth and hanky panky:

If anyone has anything they would like to share about the night or the new space please drop me a comment. Thank you. :) Over and out for now.

Fresh in from a studio from surely another time, era and I'm also thinking planet, are the new speakers we have now installed at Home Club. Sick are they not? Let me know have you seen anything quite like these oversized, stream-lined bad boys? I pretty much flipped upon first seeing them. Anyone who can guess the make of these babies recieve 2 free tickets to our Sublime meets Dark n Dirty event this Saturday.

Home Parties

Yo yo,

Ok, so I'd like you guys to know that we have a new policy at Home Club. Saturday's my friends, is dedicated to the ritual of dance. We are eager to bring cutting edge dance music every week for you to get funky to.

Featuring artists at the forefront of Singapore’s local talent, not to mention our regular international acts, take a look at the list:

http://www.homeclub.com.sg/djlisting.html

Don’t be surprised if you hear something you’ve never heard before that you can’t stop moving to (perhaps from a dub-plate you won’t find anywhere else!).

You can dine, chat or chill out with your pals on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Beat! on a Friday. But on Saturday, at Home, you dance.

You dance to a drum. You dance as a tribe. You dance in a house. You dance in broken beats. You dance electronically. You dance along a bass-line. You dance in a trance. You dance in techno-colours.

You can rest on a Sunday. Go on a holiday the entire workweek. Take an MC on Tuesday through to Thursday. Beat! with friends on a Friday.

But on Saturday, at Home, you dance.

You got some ideas of DJs, the type of music you would like to hear on a Saturday??? I WANT TO HEAR! Drop me a reply, I'll tell you what I think and whether it's a possibility... :)

Sit Down and Tape a Seat!

1)

Made especially for you to melt into. Let your mind wander and check out the new wares. Book early, I'm pretty sure they'll be taken early.

2)

A few points:
-They consist of three pieces.
-They are constructed of high density cardboard.
-They are both light (easy to move around) and surprisingly soft!
(I know, I spent yesterday on them and Chris even manages to fall asleep on them at night!)
-They are flexible in their layout and arrangement.
-They will be placed in the outside area.

3)

This is my interpretation:
1) Chair
2) Table/Bar Stool/Sofa
3) Stool/Table/Foot Rest

I think they are pretty damn neat!
Proto-type (definitely the first of their kind, have you seen anything quite like them?) low density/maximum usage, pieces of furniture.

Let me know what you think, how do you see these pieces?
How do you think they should be set up?

Thank You!

I would just like to wish a very warm thank you to the individuals who have already donated items for Home's renovation. These items, a shadeless lamp (pictured), an extremely comfy sofa (just the way a sofa is supposed to be made) and a set of very swanky shot glasses will be a featured as part of Home's interiors. Your Home is now physically becoming ours and we hope to do the same by providing a space as comforting and assuring as where you lay your head to rest. Word up Kiat and Roll on Rolland! :)
